CEO
Adam Jackson
Adam has been CEO of Manchester Maccabi for the past four years, bringing with him a varied career spanning recruitment, digital marketing, wine & cheese sales, and plenty of sorting, shlepping, lifting and shifting along the way. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Adam played football for Maccabi for 15 years and represented Maccabi GB at the 2005 Maccabiah Games in Israel. In 2017, he swapped the football pitch for the dancefloor, winning Maccabi’s Strictly Dancing competition.
Having experienced Maccabi first-hand as a player, volunteer and now CEO, Adam is passionate about the role sport can play in bringing people together and strengthening Jewish community life. What he loves most about working at Maccabi is the opportunity to make meaningful change within the community and create experiences that have a lasting impact on people’s lives. Somewhere along the way, all those years of sorting, shlepping, lifting and shifting turned out to be surprisingly good preparation for being a CEO.
